This 2025 football season is getting closer and closer. There is a lot of speculation surrounding the Lafayette County Football Team, given that they went 0-10 last season. The fans want redemption, and the thought on everyone’s mind is “Will they win?”. The awaited stretch begins on August 22, with a home game against New Albany in a jamboree.

Starting off strong, Lafayette has the odds in their favor with New Albany and Wooddale. In the past, we’ve won against New Albany 10 out of 14 times; this gives Lafayette a high chance of winning. Equally strong New Albany beat Woodale 27-6, which is assisting the determined win/loss prediction, providing Lafayette with a positive start to the season. Coming up next is Saltillo; Lafayette is forecasted to win because they are 10-0 against Saltillo in the past games. Following that is none other than the infamous “Cross Town Classic” – a battle of the County and the City. This match will be an intense and passionate standoff between schools. Although Lafayette has the home-field advantage, there is no way to know until it happens. Apart from the county feud, next up is Lewisburg, which should be a cake-walk, with Lafayette not losing a single game against this team. Soon after that, Hernando comes into play. Lafayette has won 20 games out of 24 against Hernando; therefore, they should be able to keep the wins rolling. Up next is a team Lafayette has never played against before, Pure Academy. Pure Academy is from Memphis, Tennessee. It will be an exciting game to watch. Following that is a game at New Hope. Lafayette has won 7 games and lost 1 game, so they should come out on top. After New Hope, Lafayette will face off against West Point. Although Lafayette is 3-11 against West Point, there is always a chance. Aside from that, Lafayette plays Columbus at home. Lafayette has won 5 games and lost 1. They should be able to stay positive. New to the district, although Lafayette’s already played them twice, is Caledonia. Lafayette is 2 for 2 with wins against Caledonia. Caledonia hasn’t scored a single point against Lafayette. At the end of the schedule is Pontotoc. Lafayette has won 12 out of 15 games against Pontotoc, so Lafayette is predicted to head to the playoffs this year with quarterback John Colt Robertson, running back Kamaron Pritchard, and wide receiver Adarius Brown.
