Last week, Dr Kitchens announced that our art teacher Thomas Grosskopf, ‘Mr. G’, was selected for Lafayette High School Teacher of the Year. Each teacher voted on who they thought deserved the award, and Mr. G was the majority of the votes.
Mr. G said, “It makes you feel good to be singled out as Teacher of the Year because you know your peers were the ones who voted for you, and it’s like they’re telling you that they see you doing a good job.”
Multiple students have stated in the past that he was deserving of the honor.
Junior Kyle Traylor said, “I feel like Mr G has deserved this for a long time, he’s a great teacher and has such a good relationship with all his students. He’s really there for us and helps us, not just in art, but he’s all around a great guy. I just feel like he really deserves this.”
