Lafayette boys basketball is in its fourth season under head coach Hunter Mason. This Commodore team graduated a great set of great players in Jaylen Campbell, Shun Flemons, and Walker Starnes.

Despite this, The Commodores brings back a young and very athletic team. Senior D’Angelo Phillips is one of the key players returning for this and will be his second year starting for the Commodores. He will be one of the premier finishers and playmakers for this team. Demarcus King also returns for the Commodores who brings a veteran presence to this young commodore team, also brings great effort and leadership to the Commodores. Lafayette also adds assistant coach TJ Hannah, who has experience on the court and is prepared to help this Commodore team succeed.

The commodores finished last season 11-15 overall and 3-7 in district play, falling short of the playoffs. But with a reshaped district and new additions to the coaching staff, expectations are high for Lafayette Basketball.
