This year’s football Spirit Days for students differ from those of previous years. In the past, Lafayette High School Spirit Days featured a variety of themes, cultures, and colors.

However, this year, the days are focused solely on the colors red and gold, alternating between these colors every Friday. This change is intended to encourage more students to participate in Spirit Days.
Additionally, it has reduced the prices for Spirit Day activities, making it more accessible for everyone to join in on the fun. Instead of students having to go out and buy things, they can just check their closets for red and gold items.
This targeted approach will lead to increased participation among students, as it also simplifies the dress code. On Aug. 29, Sep. 26, Oct. 17, and Nov. 6, the theme is red. For Sep. 5, Sep.19, Oct. 10, and Oct. 31, the theme is gold.
Two of the days incorporate different colors. Sep. 12 is white out, which is the third tertiary color of Lafayette High School. Lastly, Oct. 24, is pink out for breast cancer awareness. Students are urged to participate to bring back school spirit.
