Middle blocker Carson Ball shared, “The game was pretty good, I think we all collectively played great together. I played pretty good, my blocks were up, and I got a couple kills. My serves just weren’t the best last night.”
Ball also added, “We are starting the season off very well. We are trying to progress so that we can make it to our goal of winning state again.”
Senior outside hitter, Mabry Eason, was very prominent in last night’s game, totaling 8 kills.
Eason believes that, “As long as we play together as a team, and play how we know how to play, we will be fine and win state again.”
She added about the home win, “I feel really good, I think we came off really strong as a team, and everybody was hype.”
Honorable mentions include, Sydney Cregar with 25 assists, Lizah Holland with 12 digs, Maddie Vollbracht with 7 kills, and Caroline Crockett with 36 assists and 6 aces.
The Commodores are proving to be just as strong as last season. You can see them play again Thursday, August 8th, at Hickory Flat.
