AFJROTC hosts the Veterans Day program on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 9:00 am. This event will take place in the Lafayette High School gym. Other school organizations such as the band and choir will also take part in this event.
The Lafayette band will perform two songs, “Fanfare for the Unsung Hero” and the “United States Armed Forces Medley.” The Medley includes anthems from every branch of the military and the mixed choir will be providing vocals to go with the song. We invite all veterans to stand when they hear their branches tune.
Along with this, choir will be singing the national anthem. The senior girls choir will perform their second performance of “Traveling Soilder” and all of the girls will be singing “God Bless America.”
Along with presenting the colors as the choir sings the national anthem, the AFJROTC will be demonstrating a rifle routine, a speech and will be holding a flag ceremony. They invite all veterans of the community to come and watch.
