It’s Homecoming Week!

It’s Homecoming week at Lafayette High school. There are several festivities that are in place for homecoming such as spirit days, a parade, a pep rally, and the homecoming dance.

The spirit days are based off of popular board and video games such as Wii Sports, Guess Who, Uno!, Jumanji, and Fridays theme students will dress according to their classes chosen theme.The dance theme is chess, this decision was made by the Lafayette High School Student Council.

On Thursday, October 5th, at 5 P.M the homecoming parade will take place. It will start at Lafayette Elementary School and will conclude with a pep rally on the football field. The parade will feature the school’s homecoming court, the boys and girls basketball teams, the football team, and the boys and girls soccer teams. The community wide pep rally will include games, stand tunes, and feature our commodore mascot. The pep rally will take place at the football field. 

The homecoming football game will be against Clarksdale, the homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime. Then after the game, the dance will begin at 9:30 P.M and conclude at 11:30pm.
