The 90s and 2000s fashion expressed comfort and freedom through their styles as well as expressing different types of personalities through their clothing choices.

Many enjoyed wearing the infamous mom jeans paired with Doc Martens/Chunky Chelsea Boots, but over the years the fashion style has been returning. 

Scrunchies made a comeback in 2019 due to VSCO girls and have stayed popular since then. You will see people walking around with scrunchies on their wrists or in their hair. It is known to be a sign of a relationship in teenagers if you see a boy with a scrunchie on his wrist. 

Wolfcuts are also making a comeback originally known as blowouts. Another hairstyle that is making a huge comeback is tiny braids. Whether underneath hair or out where everyone can see them they have started coming up again. They resurfaced in 2019 also due to VSCO girls. People would sometimes include little beads which were a very big hit and still are. 

Shoes are also big in the fashion industry. A pair of shoes that the majority wore in the 90s and 2000s were Converse. Originally converse came out in 1917 as a form of athletic wear, but the shoes became popular in the 90s when people started styling them with casual outfits. Converse never went away but they became popular again around 2017 and have stayed popular since. 

Although fashion history is being repeated people are putting their own twist on the styles​​​​​.
