HIP teaches high school juniors and seniors to teach health education to freshmen. They are located in Miami, Florida. They are partnered with a high school, Miami-Dade High school. “Hip wants to make sure no kid feels alone.” Is something they said on their website at www.behip.org. Hip wants to make sure that every kid in the United States is healthy. Risa Berrin is the founder of the Health information project. She went to Law school and became a court-appointed special advocate for children who are abused, neglected, and abandoned. She also taught Female juveniles, which led to her understanding that everyone needs to know how to deal with certain situations. Valerie Berrin is the Director of Operations in HIP, she oversees the enactment of HIP and manages the administrative struggle of the organization. If you didn’t already know, Risa and Valerie are sisters.
