Lafayette’s R.O.T.C. academic bowl team has made it to round two of three in competition. The academic bowl is a competition of general knowledge. Initially every cadet in the unit takes a test online twice and the 6 cadets with the highest score cross compared to their grades will be put on a team. The current team consists of Caroline Shook, Steven Hale, Macie Gossett, Cannon Smart, Radley Hill, And Gage Martin. This team will have to take a slightly different test on a consensus, and the top 50% of all the units will make it to the next round, then they’ll take it again on a slightly harder test then the next top 50% of the units will go on to Washington D.C. to compete in the final round. These tests consist of categories like Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Science, and Current Events.
