Lafayette baseball is adding a new feature to the baseball field this season. They are installing a halo around the batter box and it is getting put in at the moment.

According to Coach Greg Lewis, the halo is going to say Commodores. It will be made of astroturf, which is artificial grass. It will make the baseball field look better than ever and when the baseball team is practicing the players will not ruin the baseball field when walking on the grass and the batting dome won’t tear up the grass. It will be a nice addition to the baseball field and look amazing when you walk over the hill and see Commodores written out in our school colors.

This will be a great addition to the baseball field this year as the team look forward to the baseball season later on this year.
